What do trade technicians do?
Trade Technicians, including Plumbing, Electrical, and HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) Technicians, provide maintenance, repair, or installation services for their various disciplines in commercial and residential buildings.
What does NTI teach?
You will learn to troubleshoot, service, repair, and install home and commercial systems for a career as a certified HVAC technician, entry-level plumber, or electrical engineer. You will acquire practical, real-world knowledge and textbook smarts on how the ecosystem works in your discipline. You will receive hands-on training from industry professionals who know the quickest way to repair many HVAC, plumbing, and electrical issues. The National Technical Institute trade training programs can be completed in two to four months. Learn more about our trade training classes.
Career Outlook
For those who have completed training from NTI Trade School, the job prospects for qualified technicians are excellent.

Continuing Education
Commercial Refrigeration
We are now offering a Commercial Refrigeration certification to currently licensed HVAC technicians. This program spans 8 weeks, and covers topics such as evaporators, compressors, walk-in refrigerators, freezers, and more. These key topics will enhance your knowledge base significantly so you remain competitive in an ever-evolving industry.
At this time, we are only offering this program at our Phoenix campus.
