HVAC, Electrical and Plumbing Training in Reno-Sparks

NTI’s Reno-Sparks campus is inside The Oddie District at 2450 Oddie Blvd. in Sparks. The space, a former big-box store, holds classrooms and labs for three trades: HVAC, electrical and plumbing.

The campus grew out of conversations with Nevadaworks, the workforce development board for northern Nevada, which identified a need for HVAC, plumbing and electrical training in the region. It’s NTI’s fifth campus, joining Las Vegas, Phoenix and two campuses in Houston.

What the Campus Is Built For

  • Hands-on labs:

    capped at 16 students per instructor

    HVAC, electrical and plumbing

  • Certificate of completion:
    awarded when you finish your program

    a brand-new bag of basic tools when you graduate

How to Enroll

Enrollment for Reno-Sparks is open. The first Reno-Sparks cohort starts in late November 2026. Admissions has the schedule for later start dates. Each program runs in two formats. Start dates are set by cohort, so we don’t list them here; admissions has the current schedule and will go over the formats, cost and financing with you before you enroll.

  • Fusion: 16 weeks, online lecture videos plus one lab day a week
  • Traditional: 12 weeks on campus, four days a week

The Campus

Each trade has its own lab, set up to work like a job site. HVAC students practice on working heating and cooling systems, plumbing students on live plumbing systems, and electrical students on circuits with real power. NTI signed a 10-year lease on the space, so this campus is here for the long haul.

The Trades

The campus teaches the three trades NTI runs at its other campuses, each in Fusion and Traditional formats. Read more about each program at Reno-Sparks:

  • HVAC school in Reno: heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration; installing, servicing and troubleshooting the systems that heat and cool homes and commercial buildings.
  • Electrician school in Reno: wiring, circuits and the electrical systems in homes and buildings, and finding and fixing electrical faults.
  • Plumbing school in Reno: water supply, drainage and gas piping; installing and repairing the systems every building depends on.

The campus is part of The Oddie District, a mixed-use business district in Sparks. NTI students train in a district shared with artists, technologists and entrepreneurs.
